Key Biscayne

Key Biscayne is a village on a barrier island reached by the Rickenbacker Causeway. The island is bracketed by protected land: Crandon Park at the north end and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, with the 1825 Cape Florida Lighthouse, at the south.

The village itself is compact and largely low-rise, with a small commercial strip along Crandon Boulevard. Because there is one road on and off the island, traffic patterns are unusual for Miami-Dade.

Housing includes single-family homes on interior and canal streets, plus oceanfront and bayfront condominium buildings along Ocean Drive and the western shore.
